One of the most controversial topics of reserach is the Stem Cells reserach. Stem cells are embryonic cells that leads to to the formation of various parts in the human body. Isolated from the embryos and knowledge of them can lead to many cures to the diseases.
But the opponents of the stem cells reserach have the view that we are messing with life and the human embryos.

Not that I support abortions, but since they happen anyway, why not take them from the abortions?
I believe stem cell research is wrong. It is an embryo that could become a living, breathing thing. Who are we to take that away, even for the sake of science?
If we take the cells from abortions its like adding insult to injury for most people. Many would-be mothers feel very sad that they no longer have a child inside of them. It is very wrong of the clinics to say that all there is just a blob of cells. If embryos were just blob of cells, how would we get stem cells from them? The other mothers probably could care less if you tear up the embryos body even more. But it would still be wrong to even do that to what was once a living thing. Many diseases come from peolpes own stupidity, others just get it by mistake, or by getting biten, but what I think is that the ones who are mostly complaining about not having a cure are the ones who get diseases from their own stupidity. So instead of stealing a embryos cells, why not let them deal with their pushiment? No offense to anyone who would take it offensivly.
I think that stem research is wrong, and that scientists should research other things, like finding a solution for getting rid of the West Nile virus.
No one likes the idea of abortion but if one lost life is going to save one hundred or more than why don’t we use it. If the mother has had an abortion then obviously she doesn't want the baby. Knowing that the life she aborted might save others may make her feel better.
I don't believe that abortion is ok, but if we can't stop the mom from aborting the baby anyway, then why not use the stem cells to try to save lifes?
I have another question for you all. Why are we even taking the cells from the fetuses? We could take it from the placenta instead of the fetus. So why use the fetus? Its a human being to even if it isn't born yet!
I don't believe in abortions. But, if the mother is already going to have an abortion then why not use that baby to save another life? Also, many mothers who decide to have abortions realize the mistake they made many years later and regret it. They probabaly wouldn't feel as guilty about it if they knew that it saved another life, even if their baby lost it's life.
I dont believe that abortions are right and I dont think we should have them. But if the mom does decide to have an abortion, i think we should be able to take stem cells from a being that can no longer continue to live on the earth. If we can't stop the mom from aborting the baby then i think i think we should be able to use the stem cells to save lifes.
I don't believe in the study of stem cell research but if it leads to some enormous break-through discovery, then why not?
I hate abortions as much as the next person but if you can take stem cells from a being that's no longer going to function in our world, then I think that it's a sacrifice that we can make... Well not me, those mothers aborting their children.
